Post World War 2, the Italian filmmakers were the first to bring realism to the big screen, the first to shoot on location and to use the stories of the common man in difficult economic and moral situations.

Organized by the local Italian Conversation Group, the Italian Film Series brings the joy of the Italian language and culture to Brandon. All films have English subtitles and are EASY to follow!

Movies by famous directors Roberto Rossillini and Vittorio de Sica, to name a few, portray emotions and conflicts everyone can understand. Come watch the transformation through decades of Italian cinema from realist to comedy to crime to contemporary and fall in love with Italy!
