Bernie Carr Named Rutland Region Volunteer of the Year/Decades
All of Brandon was honored this week when Bernie Carr was named the Rutland Region’s “Volunteer of the Year/Decades” at the annual meeting of the Chamber and Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR). Brandon was highlighted as “Rutland County’s North Star” and the beneficiary of Bernie and Beth’s life work as community builders and entrepreneurs here. Congratulations to Bernie and Beth! Thank you for all you do to make Brandon a great place to live and work and grow community … you are great contributors of time and talent to the Chamber, the Town, your Church, and so many others doing good work in Brandon.
Bill Moore and I were privileged to make sure Bernie got to the CEDRR meeting at the new K-1 Lodge at Killington Resort on Tuesday evening — the secret was kept, and Bernie was truly surprised!
[The public was invited and no tax dollars were spent on the award, the event, or to attend (tickets were free thanks to CEDRR’s sponsors, Rutland County businesses).]
